Our Initial Consultation is a 60-minute, in-depth session costing $180. We thoroughly review your intake forms, listen to your health concerns, understand your health history, and create a timeline of symptoms to gain a comprehensive understanding of your condition. Depending on your needs, your practitioner may recommend tests like blood pathology, glucose monitors, microbiome analysis, or hormone markers. These insights help us identify the root cause of your health concerns and develop a bespoke Clinical Nutrition Plan. After your consultation, you'll receive a personalised prescription with recommendations tailored to your health goals. Once you book your Initial Consultation, we'll confirm the schedule and send you a digital welcome pack. This includes access to your Client Portal with introductory forms to complete before your appointment. You can log in to your Client Portal to join your secure Telehealth appointment with your Clinical Nutrition Practitioner (BHSc). Duration: 60 minutes - We take the time to get to know you. Our team will email you with a comprehensive intake and consent form. Please ensure these are submitted online at least 2 full business days before your Initial Consultation, along with any relevant and recent test results. This allows your Clinical Nutrition Practitioner time to review you details.
You can find a link to these forms in your welcome email after we confirm your Initial Consultation, or by logging into your Client Portal. It may take roughly 30-60 minutes to complete these forms - they have been designed to save your progress as you go, so you can always pause and come back to it right where you left off!
We’ll email you with the link to join your session in your welcome email, and re-email this link 15 minutes before the appointment start-time. Please arrive 5 minutes ahead of time, we’re looking forward to meeting you!
We work together to implement recommendations in your Nutrition Plan, and enhance your care by monitoring for changes regularly so you can see how you’re progressing over time. Our digital platform is a key resource for ongoing support so your treatment plan can evolve with you between consultations, enabling you to reach your goals.
After your initial consultation, we hold a 45 minute second appointment to allow time for analysing and explaining your test results, developing and adjusting your plan, providing continued education, and further exploring your presenting health concerns and progress. Our priority is making sure that you feel heard, supported and cared for. Your second appointment is typically held 2-4 weeks after your initial consultation.
Return appointments from this point are 30 minutes (as needed depending on your presenting health concerns), to continue delivering effective and personalised care as we adapt to progress, and review changing circumstances.

Yes, you have uncapped messaging with your Clinical Nutritionist between your booked appointments!
How does it work:
For any clinical questions relating to your treatment, please message your practitioner directly and securely within your Client Portal. You can log-in here.
Please note that practitioners do not consult with patients via the Client Portal message function, and it is more of a support tool. Please allow 3 business days for your practitioner's reply, though they will typically get back to you sooner.
Dependent on your query, you may be asked to schedule a consultation so you can be best advised by your Clinical Nutritionist.
Note:
Messaging is not for emergency care. Always dial '000' or visit an emergency department if you require urgent medical attention.
Generally speaking, at least 3 sessions are needed over 2 - 4 months, however it depends on the complexity of your presenting health concerns. Many clients find their symptoms begin to significantly improve after the first consultation. It is our aim to ensure our clients feel supported, understood and cared for as we work together to implement your personalised nutrition plan, so multiple consultations are often recommended to effectively achieve your goals.
Absolutely! Our consultations are all available online through our healthcare platform’s secure Telehealth video consultation services. This means you can relax into your visits and connect with your Clinical Nutrition Practitioner from the comfort of your own home, making healthcare all the more accessible and affordable.
We are based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Due to differing health regulations and legislature between countries and regions around the world, our budding clinic is currently only accepting new clients from within Australia. We are excited to be coming to New Zealand soon!
If you are unable to make it to your appointment, please provide 48 hours notice (during business hours) to our care team by messaging us or emailing us at care@healthconnection.com.au
